What is Pyro?

Four days.
One family.
One fire.

A music festival in the Ohio hills: the music you remember from Pyro’s best years, alongside ceremony, workshops and culture from around the world. Pack a tent, bring an open mind, and leave a little lighter than you came.

Back to our roots

Rebuilt around
what made us

Pyro began as a gathering, not a production: workshops under the trees, a crew who knew your name, and a campground left cleaner than we found it. We’ve spent this year listening to our family. For 2027, every program that made Pyro feel like home is coming back.

Pyro Joe, founder of Music Festival Junkie
Pyro Joe · Music Festival Junkie

Still learning.
Still building.

Joe started Pyro as a gathering of friends around a fire. It grew quickly, and not every turn along the way was the right one. He listened, took the lessons to heart, and came home to what mattered from the beginning.

Who we are

A community first

Our community is a melting pot, as varied as any family. We gather to understand and respect one another, to celebrate our differences, to step outside our comfort zones and to meet the neighbors who become family.

The road back home

Three decades of gatherings, homes across Ohio and Michigan, a year spent listening, and one family that followed the fire wherever it went. In 2027 we return to the grounds where Pyro had its best years.

Emerging artists · Love · Happiness

Where artists
find their people

Pyro has always made room for emerging artists, and for a community built on love and happiness. These are some of the artists who embody the spirit that made Pyro great.

Still building.

Joe started Pyro as a gathering of friends around a fire, with a mission to bring light, understanding and compassion back to the world one event at a time. He works year-round to build experiences that widen our understanding of different ideas, cultures and philosophies.

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs.
